Taking a sip from a vernal pool
Peter took this photo for me on the fly from the car -- such an idyllic scene. The deer are out everywhere lately. I guess they know they're safe, at least for a little while.

Wow, it almost feels like the deer's floating. I love how warm and reddish the animal appears against the green of the forest. Very nicely done. As usual.
