Lisa and Paul are home for Christmas along with their friend Rachel. We went to Olsommer's Tree Farm to pick out our Christmas tree and it snowed -- a fun day! With three young artists in the house, should be fun decorating.
I noticed a couple of dark spots in the lanterns on Peter's studio. I was very surprised to find there were two little fluffy, brown spotted birds sleeping in them. They don't seem to mind the lights and have come back every night to snooze. I believe they are wrens. Good night sweet birds.
I love this time of year when all of the various grasses and plants in the fields of the DWGNRA are left standing and bare. They're so beautiful. I'm sure these "Pom Poms" have an official name -- I just don't know what it is, so to me, they are the pom poms or is it pom-poms or pompoms or pompons?
Yesterday, Peter and I drove to the Art Essex Gallery to deliver some of my work. Peter took this great photo of Mr. Two Face in the window of the gallery, freshly unpacked, waiting for placement. I hope he finds a wonderful new home!
Lisa and I will both be part of their juried Holiday Presence show that runs from December 1st through December 31st. Art Essex Gallery is located at 10 Main Street in Essex, CT. To learn more about my work, visit www.barbarafiore.com and to learn more about Lisa's work, visit www.lisafiore.com.
