Olsommer's Tree Farm
Tree hunting
Lisa and Paul are home for Christmas along with their friend Rachel. We went to Olsommer's Tree Farm to pick out our Christmas tree and it snowed -- a fun day! With three young artists in the house, should be fun decorating.

Wren Rest
This little bird found a comfy home
I noticed a couple of dark spots in the lanterns on Peter's studio. I was very surprised to find there were two little fluffy, brown spotted birds sleeping in them. They don't seem to mind the lights and have come back every night to snooze. I believe they are wrens. Good night sweet birds.

Pom Poms Galore!
I love this time of year when all of the various grasses and plants in the fields of the DWGNRA are left standing and bare. They're so beautiful. I'm sure these "Pom Poms" have an official name -- I just don't know what it is, so to me, they are the pom poms or is it pom-poms or pompoms or pompons?

Delivering My Work
Mr. Two Face says good bye
Yesterday, Peter and I drove to the Art Essex Gallery to deliver some of my work. Peter took this great photo of Mr. Two Face in the window of the gallery, freshly unpacked, waiting for placement. I hope he finds a wonderful new home!
Lisa and I will both be part of their juried Holiday Presence show that runs from December 1st through December 31st. Art Essex Gallery is located at 10 Main Street in Essex, CT. To learn more about my work, visit www.barbarafiore.com and to learn more about Lisa's work, visit www.lisafiore.com.

Meet the Fiores!
Milford Journal Cover (cropped), November 2012
Our local magazine, The Milford Journal, recently sent writer and artist, Michael Hartnett to interview Peter, me, Lisa and Paul. He did a great job of capturing a little bit about each one of us -- as Michael said, it was like putting Mt. Everest in a thimble. To read the article, click here.

Gallery Talk
Lauren Travis introduces Peter
Peter's gallery talk at the Travis Gallery on Saturday was a big success. As always, everyone had a wonderful time and Peter gave them all a lot to think about. The show has closed but much of the work will remain on display at the gallery through the month of December during the Small Paintings show. So if you haven't seen the work yet and you're in the area, it's well worth a visit!

Save the Date, November 24th
One of many paintings Peter will discuss on the Saturday after Thanksgiving
Peter will be holding a gallery talk and slide presentation of his recent work at the Travis Gallery in New Hope, PA on Saturday, November 24th at 2 pm. It will be a fun afternoon and a great opportunity to meet Peter and learn more about what inspires him and his process for creating his beautiful paintings. We hope you can join us. Candle Lit Opening
Thanks to Hurricane Sandy, Peter's opening at the Travis Gallery was without power. It was supposed to come on by 4 but alas, by 5, still no power. Lauren Travis was quick to set out candles and make the best of an unfortunate situation. It turned out to be a fun and memorable night. If any paintings could shine in candlelight, Peter's paintings can. There are more photos from the opening on Peter's Blog, Peter Fiore Thoughts.
