Thirsty Deer

Taking a sip from a vernal pool

Peter took this photo for me on the fly from the car -- such an idyllic scene. The deer are out everywhere lately. I guess they know they're safe, at least for a little while.

Milford, PA

A star (and a cross?) high above Milford

The view from "the knob"

Milford is the next town over from we live. It is a quaint little victorian town that time has more or less forgotten. Although it is technically not our town, it is where we eat and shop locally so we consider it home.

I have been wanting to hike to this star for years and finally did. It is perched on "the knob" high above town and is only lit during the holidays. There's a beautiful view of town, the valley and the Delaware River. It was a very pleasant walk to get there but unfortunately, it was in the middle of a hot and hazy day so my photos aren't the best. Oh well. You get the idea.

Workshop, Day 1

Color mixing demo in progress

Peter's Palette all laid out and ready to go

Today was the first day of Peter's two day Landscape Painting Workshop at the Washington Art Association in Washington, CT. Nice location, nice facility, nice people. Students tell me they have already learned a lot. Yay, that's what we like to hear.

Peter has 2 more workshops planned for this summer. The next one is Bucks County PA. It runs from July 11th-15th through the Travis Gallery.
